A little about me
I am a licensed social worker with a concentration in mental health and substance misuse. My journey to becoming a therapist has been an unconventional one: I’ve been a professional musician for 25 years. I’ve always felt that the performing arts are a form of mental health care. A few years ago, I decided that I could support the mental health of my community more directly, and perhaps more effectively, if I became a therapist. With that goal in mind, I made a decision to go back to school and complete a masters degree in social work from The Ohio State University. I now work in private practice seeing adults and teens, individuals and couples. It was the best decision I ever made. In addition to being to a therapist, I am a mother and successful co-parent of two teenagers. You might also catch me performing around the Cincinnati and Dayton areas as a cellist.
